Hello Parents and Students,
Our Fall Concert is here! We will perform for you on Tuesday, September 16th starting at 7:30 PM!
Performers should arrive at school at the following times:
Concert Orchestra 6:45 PM
Philharmonia, Sinfonia, Chamber 7:00 PM
Students will need to be in their "places" promptly at 7:25 PM for our group warm-up.
Reminders that nails need to be short and students should be wearing their concert black uniform including correct accessories (tall black socks; black dress shoes, etc.).
The concert grade includes punctuality, instrument/music preparedness, attendance, concert attire, concert etiquette, and their performance. We will follow up the concert with a self-evaluation on Wednesday.
Doors will open at 7:10 PM for a 7:30 PM start time. Please come support our students — they have worked really hard to put on a great performance and I know you will be proud.
Performers are expected to stay to listen the other groups perform, and will be expected to perform in our finale piece, Sonata Vivant. This piece will be performed FROM MEMORY by all 180 students! You won’t want to miss it.
I am looking forward to a great first concert!
Assignments / End of 6-week Grading Period
Friday, September 12 marked the end of the first 6 week grading period. All work prior to this date was due if credit is to be received. Work from the first 6-week grading period cannot be turned in during the second or third 6-week periods. The first 6-week grades should be available to be viewed by parents by the end of next week.
Program Book Advertisements
Our annual program ad campaign is now underway. Our program book is a great and inexpensive way to promote a business or feature your favorite string player. Senior parents, we are talking to you! :-)

KSU Invitational
Our Chamber Orchestra has been invited to perform at the KSU Orchestra Invitational on Thursday, October 23. Details will be coming soon to Chamber Orchestra Parents about this event.
