Student Leadership Team
The LHSO Student Leadership team is a group of students who assist with the daily operations and special events of the orchestra. Leaders are expected to be role models within the orchestra program and help organize operations and events. Students are expected to attend meetings (usually once per month or before special events).

President
(1-2 positions)
Requirements:
- Previous member of leadership during junior year
- Rising Senior 2023-2024
Role:
- Organization of all leadership meetings and service activities
- Oversees the actions of other orchestra officers
Secretary
(1-2 positions)
Requirements:
- Rising Sophomore 2023-2024 or higher
Role:
- Take minutes and post to Google Drive of all leadership meetings and service activities
- Track varsity letter points
- Serves on the leadership team to help in any way possible
Logistics/Operations
(2 positions)
Requirements:
- Rising Sophomore 2023-2024 or higher
Role:
- Daily set-up chairs/stands in orchestra room
- Manage event and concert logistics including set changes, flow chart, etc.
- Work with Inventory Specialists to maintain music stands, chairs, etc.
Social Media Team
(2-3 positions)
Requirements:
- Rising Sophomore 2023-2024 or higher
Role:
- Assigned management of LHSO Social Media accounts (creating posts, stories, videos, etc.)
- Taking photos at orchestra events including concerts, fundraisers, and socials
- Creation of signups and flyers for various events (physical/digital)
- Team should be from various classes
Student Services
(2-3 positions)
Requirements:
- Rising Sophomore 2023-2024 or higher
Role:
- Organization of community service events
- Organization of music mentors (bigs/littles) peer mentoring
- Coordination of Orchestra socials (before/after school)
- Helping to create and address new orchestra initiatives
Inventory Specialist
(1-2 positions)
Requirements:
- Rising Sophomore 2023-2024 or higher
Role:
- Organization and maintenance of school owned instruments and bows (placement in lockers, practice rooms, and main classroom)
- Organization and maintenance of music stands and chairs (works with Logistics)
- Tracking/logging use of instruments and lockers in Google Docs Spreadsheet
Music Librarians
(1-2 per class)
Requirements:
- Rising Sophomore 2023-2024 or higher
Role:
- Distribution, collection, filing, and copying of sheet music and books
- Scanning and annotation of musical PDFs
- In charge of keeping the storage room up to date
- May also elect a freshman in the fall, if needed
Freshman Representative
(elected in the fall)
Requirements:
- Must have participated in a middle school orchestra program
- Freshman in 2023-2024 school year
Role:
- Representative of the freshman class in orchestra
- Service as a general member alongside sophomore and upperclassmen officer
