I hope you had a relaxing and fun Spring Break! The next several weeks will be busy for orchestra, so please make sure you and your student are on top of the details….
Spring Concert
The final concert of the school year is next week! You won’t want to miss our annual Spring Concert — “A Night at the Movies and More!” We will be performing music from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Barbie, Aladdin, La La Land, Stranger Things, and Chicago along with some 90’s rock hits from The Smashing Pumpkins and Green Day. We will also be performing with our band friends who make up the wind, brass, and percussion sections in the Lassiter Symphony Orchestra!
Please join us on Tuesday, April 21 at 7:00 PM!
Student should report to the concert hall in their concert black uniform by 6:00 PM for a short rehearsal.
Awards Banquet
If you will be attending our Awards Banquet, on May 2 please get your tickets now. Remember students with paid fees get a free ticket, but must “buy” the ticket online. All family members must purchase a $28 ticket. The deadline is this Sunday, April 19. Https://lassiterorchestra.org/banquet

Small Ensemble Performances
We will be working on chamber music preparations and performances in class through the end of the school year. It's a fun way to wrap up the year—please be sure your student is practicing independently for their performance.
Senior Sendoff Social
Our annual Senior Sendoff Social will be held on Monday, May 18 at Marlow’s Tavern immediately following graduation practice, around 3:45 PM. This social is for senior students only. The social is a way to let our seniors celebrate while sharing and capture some final orchestra moments. We will have a variety of appetizers and soft drinks for our seniors.
Placements for 2026-2027
The placements will be finalized by next Friday, April 24 and will be posted in the classroom and sent to the middle schools.
