It’s hard to believe we are almost to Thanksgiving break! I want to let all of you know how grateful I am to be able to work with your amazing children everyday. They are truly a gift and I enjoy my time with them so much! I am appreciative of the care and support of our orchestra program. I hope you and your family have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving Break!
CHARLESTON WRAP FUNDRAISER ENDING
Tomorrow, Friday, November 21 is our LAST DAY for our Charleston Wrap fundraiser! Please don’t forget to share your link and have family and friends purchase their holiday gifts.
Some parents have asked how they can contribute without purchasing items from the fundraiser. The answer is YES! This would be through our “Friends of the orchestra” campaign. You can make donations above and beyond the student fees here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/become-a-friend-of-the-orchestra. Please remember that Zeffy’s transaction fees are completely optional.
FRIENDSGIVING 2025 A SUCCESS!
The students had a great time this morning celebrating each other and our orchestra family! Thank you to all of the students and parents who worked so hard to bring in all of the yummy treats! We had a great time and lots of amazing food!

CHAMBER TO PERFORM AT MABRY MS
The Lassiter Music department, including our own Chamber Orchestra, will perform at Mabry MS on Wednesday, December 3 as part of our annual recruiting days. Students will miss period 1-5 on that day.
Chamber parents, please check ParentVue to complete the field trip permission form.
SPRING TRIP CANCELLATION/CHANGE
The proposed spring trip to Nashville did not meet the minimum enrollment. We had about half of the required number of deposits. After polling students again, they are looking for a different kind of trip. So, we are going to put together a NEW proposal for a trip to Orlando/Universal Parks for the same weekend of March 20-23. Those parents that made Nashville deposits will be eligible for refunds and will be able to make a deposit on the new trip, if desired.
Details will be coming soon. Students interested will need to make a deposit for the new trip quickly after the announcement.
