Our Chamber Orchestra’s performance at the KSU Orchestra Invitation is tomorrow, Thursday, October 23! Students have been working very hard to prepare a wonderful program. We will be performing at the Bailey Performance Center located at 488 Prillaman Way, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

ITINERARY
3:30 PM – 5:00 PM – Homework/study time, Last minute practice/warm-ups
5:00 PM – School bus leaves LHS (Parents can follow in cars )
5:30 PM – Arrive at KSU
5:45 PM — Walk across the street to “The Commons” dining facility for dinner
7:00 PM — Watch Walton HS Chamber Orchestra Perform
7:50 PM — Warm-up
8:40 PM — Performance & Clinic
9:15 PM — Bus leaves KSU
9:45 PM — Bus arrives back at Lassiter (Parent pick up)

DINNER INFORMATION
Dinner for the buffet style meal is included for students who have paid their orchestra fees.
For any parents or family members who would like to eat dinner with us, the cost is just $15 per person. Please pay for dinner with this link….

PARENT PARKING
If you plan to attend our performance, visitor parking is in Lot E (closest to the center) and is free.
TRANSPORTATION – IMPORTANT!
If you plan to drive your student to KSU or take them home after their performance, I must receive an email (Charles.Laux@cobbk12.org) from the parent stating so. In addition, I will need to see the parent with the student before I can release the student. Otherwise, all students will ride the bus to/from KSU. Regardless, students are responsible for their instrument’s safe return to school/home.
PERMISSION FORMS – IMPORTANT!
I’m still missing the online permission forms from 17 students. The enrolling parent should log into ParentVue to complete the permission form ASAP
SPECIAL THANKS
Thank you to Ms. Wines who will be riding the bus as a chaperone and to Ms. Duke, Ms. Pace, and Ms. Baker who will be transporting cellos and basses in their SUV’s.
