LHSOA Executive Board

The Lassiter High School Orchestra Association (LHSOA) is a non-profit 501c3 organization. Together with the orchestra director and the student leadership, the mission of the organization is to guide the LHS Orchestra Program in terms of facilitating excellence in student educational experience; provide for opportunity for special performance opportunities, including travel; aiding to administer fundraising opportunities benefiting both the organization and students; attend to financial decisions based on program and budgetary needs, serving as fiduciary guardians.

Shelly Wines & Caroline Randall

Presidents

Shelly Wines and Caroline Randall will be stepping into the role of Presidents this year. Shelly, a former violinist, is the mother of Sophomore cello player Henry Wines, while Caroline, also a former violinist and Lassiter High School Orchestra alum, is the mother of Sophomore cellist Mary Kate Randall. Together they’re ready to harmonize their efforts to support our Orchestra.

Mandy Pace is excited to serve as Co-Vice President this year! A Lassiter graduate and the mother of junior violinist Jack Pace, Mandy holds a degree in music education and works as a clarinet instructor with local middle and high school band programs, including Lassiter. She also teaches private lessons on multiple instruments. In addition to her work in music, Mandy has a passion for holiday and event décor and owns a Christmas decorating business. She looks forward to supporting the orchestra program and its many talented students.

Unlike most of the others on the board, she does not have a degree in music or background in music, but wishes she did!  Sonya loves music and is passionate about environments that foster opportunities for students.  She is the mother of sophomore bassist Kylie Feitell who is a second year chamber orchestra student.

Susan Baker is excited to join the Lassiter Orchestra family! She is the mother of freshman bass player Michael Baker and has been an educator for over 28 years, currently serving as the Director of Mathematics for Fulton County Schools. She studies Martial Arts in her spare time with her boys, and has recently begun competing in weapons competitions. She looks forward to serving as Secretary this year!

Karen Glenny looks forward to this year with the Lassiter Orchestra! She is a former Suzuki student and current violinist in her spare time. She is mom to Olivia, a freshman violinist and Ryan, a 7th grade cellist at Mabry.  Karen manages the finances for two transportation businesses and is excited to help out as Treasurer for this fantastic group!

Joseph Duke and his wife, Suzanne, have called East Cobb home for the past 13 years, raising their three children in the heart of the community. Their oldest previously attended Lassiter High School, and their youngest is an 8th grade Pianist at Simpson Middle School. Joseph’s middle child, Mackenna Duke, a freshman cellist in the Lassiter Chamber Orchestra, is the driving inspiration behind his decision to join the board.

Marc Tartaro is serving in his second year as the Communications Chair. His daughter is a senior violinist in the Chamber Orchestra this year.

Besides his love for music and teaching, Dr. Laux is a technology nut who spends a lot of time learning and experimenting with the latest and greatest in tech gismos and gadgets.

Ashley Saunders, and her husband Les, have lived in the Lassiter community for almost 20 years. She is very active in her kids schools and in the community. She loves to help plan events and bring people together for a common good. Her daughter EK, is a sophomore and plays violin. And she has an eighth grader and a six grader who will also be in the Lassiter orchestra program in the future.

Travel Coordinator

Galina Stoll serves as the travel chair and has helped the LHSO take three trips — Asheville, NC in 2023, Orlando, FL in 2024, and Dollywood in 2025.  Her daughter, Isabelle, is a senior cellist in the Chamber Orchestra.
