String student’s summer checklist!

  • Take your instrument in for maintenance (bridge & soundpost adjustments, new strings, bow rehair/replacement, etc.)
  • If applicable, look at turning in your rental instrument and purchasing a “step up” instrument – you will love the sound you can get with a higher quality instrument!
  • Find music like solos and duets to practice alone and with friends or learn your favorite songs by ear
  • Continue to practice scales and arpeggios to learn the geography of your fingerboard
